Introducing the all new 2022 Riversong Glennwood-4 acoustic electric bass guitar, proudly built in Canada, is a workhorse that performs equally well in any room, recording studio, and on stage.
This new wood combination features solid Wild Cherry back and sides with a beautifully torrified (aged) Sitka Spruce top utilizing our proprietary deep baking process, that delivers a balanced and articulate blend of top-end brightness, midrange fullness, and low-end warmth that accommodates an array of playing styles with fantastic harmonics and clarity of tone.
Riversong guitars' patented Neck-thru adjustable neck system allow for less bracing and the ability to adjust intonation and string height with an easy twist of an Allen key. The bracing is x-braced on the top and back and also fully skeletized (another Riversong innovation). The Double Reaction bridge connects the strings to the top and under bracing of the top balancing mass on the top an underside of the guitar top. Built in Kamloops, British Columbia this guitar is the top of of the line Pacific series.
Neck-thru Construction - The Patented Riversong Neck System
Our patented Neck-thru technology offers many benefits including strength, intonation, less bracing, easier playing due to the ability to make precise adjustments, variable top loading, an even balanced sustain tone, and volume up and down the neck (yes even on the body), eliminating the need of an expensive neck reset, slinky easy string tension, reduced heel, and the integrated strap pins are part of the structure of the guitar.
Riversong's unique patented Neck-thru design also has a truss rod that runs the full length of the neck. Most traditional guitars have a truss rod that ends at the 14th fret and continuing with an elongated screw head. Riversong necks have a full-length truss rod that adjusts the entire length closer to how an electric guitar is constructed.
The patented neck system has a small amount of flex (like a Strat) and this allows regular gauge strings to feel a lot less stiff further enforcing our electric-like feel.
Our Active Body System
Riversong’s innovation is the active body system. It works by moving the neck all the way through the body allowing two things happen:
- The structure shifts from neck joint to the end block
- The mass of the neck is now equal in and out of the guitar and it is free to vibrate like a tuning fork helping to ring up and down the neck and throughout the body. With the structure coming from the back of the guitar, the body and the neck has a little bit of flex (like a Strat vs a Les Paul) this flex gives the body the ability to freely vibrate and give the strings a really slinky feel (low tension)
Strings
D'Addario XT strings combine high carbon steel cores with an advanced corrosion resistance treatment, giving you enhanced break resistance, pitch stability, and long-lasting performance –– all while preserving the tone and feel of your favorite uncoated strings. These are strings made to stay, with uncompromising performance that never fades away.
