DA400 DCE LH

Built for Left-Handed Musicians.

The DA400 DCE LH gives left-handed players the same premium Riversong experience with no compromises.

Every detail—from the neck geometry to the electronics—is purpose-built for left-handed performance, providing exceptional comfort, tone, and reliability on stage and in the studio.

Because left-handed players deserve more than an afterthought.

This dreadnought cutaway acoustic-electric guitar is inspired by the body shape of our Canadian SE Series. With deep, rich tones, room-filling acoustic projection and a high quality Fishman Flex preamp, whether you strum or finger-pick, plugged in or unplugged, this is a guitar to add to your collection.

The DA400DCE features Mahogany back, sides, and neck, Sitka Spruce top, side sound port, diffuser disk, armrest bevel, florentine cut-away system and an ebony fretboard. The Fishman Flex pickup system ensures it's always ready for the stage. The combination of our patented pinless Double Reaction Bridge (co-developed with Philip Shaheen) and patented Adjustable Neck-thru System brings exceptional tuning stability and customization.

Patented Riversong Adjustable Neck-thru System

Our patented Adjustable Neck-thru System  offers many benefits including:

  • Strength
  • Intonation
  • Less bracing
  • Easier playing (due to the ability to make precise adjustments)
  • Variable top loading
  • An evenly balanced sustain, tone & volume up and down the neck (yes, even on the body)
  • No more need for an expensive neck reset
  • Slinky easy string tension
  • Reduced heel
  • Carbon fibre re-enforced neck
  • Integrated strap pins as part of the structure of the guitar

Riversong guitars have a truss rod that runs the full length of the neck. Most traditional guitars have a truss rod that ends at the 14th fret with an elongated screw head.  Riversong necks have a full-length truss rod that adjusts the entire length - closer to how an electric guitar is constructed.

The patented Adjustable Neck-thru System has a small amount of flex (like a Strat). This allows regular gauge strings to feel a lot less stiff further enforcing our electric-like feel.

Active Body System

Riversong’s innovation is the active body system. It works by moving the neck all the way through the body allowing two things to happen:

  • The structure shifts from neck joint to the end block
  • The mass of the neck is now equal in and out of the guitar and it is free to vibrate like a tuning fork helping to ring up and down the neck and throughout the body. With the structure coming from the back of the guitar, the body and the neck has a little bit of flex (think more like a Strat vs a Les Paul). This flex gives the body the ability to freely vibrate and give the strings a really slinky feel (low tension)

Double Reaction Bridge

Riversong’s patented Double Reaction Bridge  (co-developed with Philip Shaheen) is a composite bridge design that fits through the top of the guitar rather than being glued in place. This results in a bridge that’s stronger than traditional wood, will never lift, and makes even contact at the top and bridge plate underneath. Players can perfectly line the strings up with the fretboard and acoustic output is increased by 10%.

This also eliminates the need for pins - with the bridge itself being strong enough to hold the strings in place and the dual-contact design ensuring that the bridge will never lift. Combine this with our Adjustable Neck-thru and Active Body System and you have an incredibly solid guitar that can always be adjusted to fit your personal needs!
