DA2PGA
DA2P GA
Custom Shop Designed. Built for the World.
The DA2P GA is the purest expression of Riversong’s commitment to making world-class guitars available to more musicians.
Designed from the original Canadian Custom Shop blueprints of our acclaimed 2P GA G2, every contour, measurement, and performance characteristic has been carefully preserved. The result is an instrument that captures the feel, comfort, and responsiveness of one of Riversong’s most celebrated guitars.
So faithful to the original design, even many of our experienced Canadian builders had difficulty distinguishing the first production samples from the custom shop instruments that inspired them.
Featuring a premium Double-Top solid Sitka spruce soundboard with our signature inlaid Indian rosewood Tone Ring, the DA2P GA delivers exceptional clarity, projection, and dynamic response. Premium Indian rosewood back and sides, a mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, and Graph Tech Ratio tuners complete an instrument designed for professional performance.
Comfort has always been central to Riversong’s philosophy. The arm bevel, rib bevel, and rounded micro-bevel body contours create one of the most comfortable acoustic guitars we’ve ever designed, allowing players to perform longer with less fatigue.
Like every premium Riversong, the DA2P GA includes our patented Adjustable Neck-Through System for precise neck angle adjustment and long-term playability, our Side Monitor Port for a more immersive playing experience, our Canadian-made Double Reaction Bridge—co-developed with celebrated master oud builder Philip Shaheen—and our proprietary Skeletized Bracing system. Together with Riversong’s Double-Top construction, these innovations deliver remarkable volume, responsiveness, stability, and tonal balance.
The DA2P GA isn’t a simplified version of a custom shop guitar—it is a genuine Riversong custom shop design, thoughtfully brought to musicians around the world through world-class manufacturing.

The Patented Riversong Adjustable Neck-thru System
Our Adjustable Neck-thru System™ offers many benefits including:
- Strength
- Intonation
- Less bracing
- Easier playing (due to the ability to make precise adjustments)
- Variable top loading
- An evenly balanced sustain, tone & volume up and down the neck (yes, even on the body)
- No more need for an expensive neck reset
- Slinky easy string tension
- Reduced heel
- Carbon fibre re-enforced neck
- Integrated strap pins as part of the structure of the guitar

Riversong's unique patented Adjustable Neck-thru System™ also has a truss rod that runs the full length of the neck. Most traditional guitars have a truss rod that ends at the 14th fret with an elongated screw head. Riversong necks have a full-length truss rod that adjusts the entire length. This is closer to how an electric guitar is constructed.
The Adjustable Neck-thru System has a small amount of flex (like a Strat). This allows regular gauge strings to feel a lot less stiff further enforcing our electric-like feel.
Our Active Body System
Riversong’s innovation is the active body system. It works by moving the neck all the way through the body allowing two things to happen:
- The structure shifts from neck joint to the end block
- The mass of the neck is now equal in and out of the guitar and it is free to vibrate like a tuning fork helping to ring up and down the neck and throughout the body. With the structure coming from the back of the guitar, the body and the neck has a little bit of flex (like more like a Strat vs a Les Paul). This flex gives the body the ability to freely vibrate and give the strings a really slinky feel (low tension)

Double Reaction Bridge
Riversong’s patented Double Reaction Bridge™ (co-developed with Philip Shaheen) is a composite bridge design that fits through the top of the guitar rather than being glued in place. This results in a bridge that’s stronger than traditional wood, will never lift, and makes even contact at the top and bridge plate underneath. Players can perfectly line the strings up with the fretboard and acoustic output is increased by 10%.
This also eliminates the need for pins - with the bridge itself being strong enough to hold the strings in place and the dual-contact design ensuring that the bridge will never lift. Combine this with our Adjustable Neck-thru and Active Body System and you have an incredibly solid guitar that can always be adjusted to fit your personal needs!
